Kathmandu. Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank has started the issuing and accuring of NepalPay card. With the aim of expanding its digital banking services, the bank has launched this service under which the bank will now provide NepalPay Card to its customers and transact with NepalPay Card as well as international cards of Discover Network from ATMs across the country. Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank is also offering NepalPay Card, the national card scheme being operated under the National Payment Switch, along with other card schemes.
With the commercial rollout of the Nepal Pay Card recently, NCHL has partnered with international network Discover to enable the NepalPay Card to be available globally. Nepal Pay Cards issued by banks and financial institutions, payment service providers and payment system operators can now be used at ATMs and POS Terminals in Nepal and abroad.
In addition, RuPay card and international discover cards can also be used in Nepal. So far, more than 36 banks and financial institutions have joined NepalPay and are in various stages of rollout. Seven BFIs have already started issuing NepalPay cards while more than 10 BFIs have started acquiring their NepalPay cards.
