Kathmandu. Kathmandu: One person who was injured during the protest against the social media ban in Kathmandu has died.
One of the protesters, who was injured while undergoing treatment at the Civil Hospital, succumbed to his injuries. The hospital authorities confirmed that the protesters had died. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
At present, around 80 injured people are being treated at the hospital. Three of them are photojournalists.
The District Administration Office has imposed curfew in various areas including Baneshwor. Despite the imposition of curfew, Genji’s protest continues in front of the parliament building.
As the protest intensified, the administration has deployed the army in baneshwor area.
