Kathmandu. China has extended a number of unemployment insurance measures until the same period in 2026. This includes policies to retain jobs and support youth employment and workforce training.

The measures, jointly issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and three other government departments, aim to help businesses retain workers and improve skills development, state-run Xinhua news agency reported. Companies that reduce worker cuts under the Work-Retention Return program will continue to receive back unemployment insurance premiums paid last year.
