Kathmandu. Oil prices rose in Asian markets on Monday morning after Iran’s missile attack on Israel and the subsequent retaliation of the Israeli Air Force. It is the first time Iran has fired a missile against Israel since a weak ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States in April.
Brent crude, the global oil benchmark, rose 2.6% to $95.50 a barrel. U.S. crude oil rose 2.5% to $92.75 a barrel.
Energy prices have fluctuated sharply since a ceasefire agreement was signed in April. Oil prices have been hovering around $95 a barrel since last week. –Agency
