Kathmandu. Sanumiya Maharjan is an insurance agent by profession. Currently, she has been getting insurance from the Maitidevi branch office of Citizen Life. Sanumaiya is a person who has been successful in doing good business in a short time of being involved in the insurance sector. Sanumaiah is always trying to connect her locals with insurance. Sanumaiya’s daily routine is spent paying the insurance bill.

Born in Pharping of Dakshinkali in 2044 BS, Sanumaiya had a normal childhood. “I had a moderate childhood. I didn’t have that much sorrow and I didn’t have that much happiness. My father used to work as a peon in school,” she said. We also grew up with my mother doing fairs, firewood, and grass. ’

Sanumaiya, who was skilled in suffering since childhood, has achieved this success even today by suffering and struggling. She has completed her Ph.D. studies. Before entering the insurance sector, Sanumaiya was associated with cooperatives. To this day, she works as a manager in the cooperative. She said she has been working as an agent part-time and continuing her career.

Sanumaiya, who has been working in a cooperative, got a chance to meet Tuk Bahadur Rana, Senior Agency Manager of Nepal Top Agent of Citizen Life through her elder brother. In that meeting, Rana talked to Sanumaiya about the insurance agent. However, Sanumaiya was not very interested in the profession of an agent.

At the same time, Rana, a senior agency manager of Citizen Life, called Sanumaiya to the head office to ‘come to the office for a meeting’. Sanumaiah also went to the office of Citizen Life and learned about the insurance. Training was also going on at that time. And after Rana said, “Take training, you will know about insurance.” As he went through the training, he began to like the profession of an agent. And then she took part in the training again. After the training, I got to learn about insurance and became interested in the profession of an agent. Then I started working in 2075 BS with a license,” she said.

“I can’t do it with full time to the agent profession,” says Sanumaiah. Because I have a job. However, I have worked hard in this profession with time. I’ve got as much reward as I can do. I am very happy and satisfied. Moreover, I feel that by devoting time to my job and working as an agent in my spare time, I have found happiness and satisfaction in this good business. I think I could have gone a long way if I had done it with more time. I’m very happy with what I’ve done. ’

Sanumaiya said that instead of the big insurance, they identify those who need insurance and provide small insurance. “I live in Pharping, Dakshinkali. There are a lot of people who do all the farming. That’s why I sell insurance policies keeping in mind their income. I enjoy it,” she said, “because after getting insurance, their lives are protected and they have also been saved.” ’

“Even though I am associated with the cooperative profession, I insist on saving rather than stressing for insurance,” she said, adding, “If we can get small insurance in terms of saving, then life will also be saved.” ’

One of the insurers has been claimed. She said that the company is in the process of making that claim.

Sanumaiya said that she has not expected happiness from the profession of an agent and said that she will bring her son into the same profession. She said, “I am also motivating my son to take up this profession. I don’t have to go abroad to feed myself and my family, seeing a good future in the agent profession, I am asking my son to join this profession. You don’t have to leave your family and go abroad to earn Rs 40,000-50,000. If you can do this, you can earn a lot of money in this profession. ’

Sanumaiya says that she is attracted to this profession because one can earn millions with a small investment. She said, “I have taken up the profession of an agent as a virtuous profession because it will not only strengthen my income but also cover the risk for the future of the insured.” ’

Sanu Muya has also achieved success by becoming an agent in the crowd of people who say that she has worked as an agent for the commission. She says she has changed a lot since she became an agent. She has been successful because she has been working hard without listening to anyone.

Sanumaiya argues that insurance agents should have many qualities. “First of all, you have to tell the truth and sell your insurance. In addition, an agent should have qualities like simplicity, patience, and the habit of not getting angry,” she said, “Agents should have qualities such as tolerance, sociability, being able to get along with the company, being knowledgeable about the company, knowledge about different policies of the company, etc.” ’

“Insurance carries risks. Yes, they bless us at that time,” she says, “That’s why the agents who do the right thing by insurance are always successful.” It’s good for both the insurer and the buyer. ’

Sanumaiya said that Citizen Life has fulfilled every goal given to the agents. She has received many awards including Silver, Gold, Diamond. “We have been successful because of the support and support of the company,” she said, adding, “Citizen Life is a very good company.” The company works in the interest of customers, employees and agents.
