Kathmandu. Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has disconnected power supply to six industries, including Shivam Cement and Ghorohi Cement, citing non-payment of dedicated feeder and trunk line dues.
The NEA has cut the line to Shivam Cement, Ghorahi Cement, Jagdamba Steel, Reliance Spying Mills, Triveni Spanning Mills and Arghakhanchi Cement. It is said that the electricity bill arrears of these industries are exorbitant.
NEA had given time till October 18 to clear the arrears. Following the NEA’s directive, 12 industries have paid their dues.
NEA has said that the line will be connected as soon as the dues are cleared.
