Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Minister for Finance Rameshwor Prasad Khanal and Ambassador of Japan to Nepal Mayad Turo paid a courtesy call on them today.
On the occasion, Minister Khanal and Japanese Ambassador Turo discussed Nepal’s current changed situation, historic Nepal-Japan relations and Japanese assistance to Nepal’s socio-economic development.
On the occasion, Finance Minister Khanal said the main task of the incumbent government formed under special circumstances was to hold the elections on the slated date and continue the socio-economic development works including reconstruction.
On the occasion, discussions were held on various areas of cooperation including Nagdhunga Tunnel Road Project, Tanahun Hydropower Project and Koteshwor Intersection Improvement Project and Programme for Emergency Rehabilitation of Sindhusali (Flood Affected). Finance Secretary Ghanashyam Upadhyay and Joint Secretary at the Foreign Cooperation Coordination Division Dhaniram Sharma were also present in the meeting.
