Kathmandu. The Ministry of Health and Population has directed the government to make arrangements for providing salary and allowances to doctors and health workers working on scholarship contract.
Issuing a circular in the name of the Health Ministries of all seven provinces today, the Federal Health Ministry issued this directive. “Complaints have been received that the doctors and health workers on scholarship contract in some provinces have not received their salary and allowances so far in the current fiscal year,” the circular reads. ’

According to the Scholarship Doctors and Health Workers Mobilization Directive, 2071 BS and the Specialist Doctors Mobilization Procedure, 2072, the salary and allowances of the doctors and health workers deputed in the province and the local levels under the scholarship should be managed from the budget allocated by the Ministry of Health.
It has been clarified that the salary and allowances of the doctors and health workers deputed in such a way should be demanded at the Ministry if they are insufficient.
