Kathmandu. Preparations are underway to close the Tribhuvan International Airport due to deteriorating air security.
According to a source at the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), preparations are underway to close the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) as the current situation is deteriorating air safety. “Some planes are in the sky and more flights will be stopped once they land,” the source said.
According to sources, the responsibility of airport security has been given to the Nepal Army. “We are now preparing to close the main gate of the airport,” the source said.
