Kathmandu. Those under the age of 18 and pregnant women will not be allowed to sell alcohol.
The Department of Internal Revenue has made such a provision by revising the Excise Guidelines, 2068 BS. According to this revised guideline, now liquor traders will not be able to engage in the sale of liquor to pregnant women under the age of 18 years.
Similarly, except hotels and restaurants, those dealing in liquor and tobacco products will be allowed to trade only. According to the revised guidelines, a provision has been made for the establishment of a separate outlet for the purpose of selling liquor products by the departmental store.
Now, it has been made mandatory for the traders buying and selling liquor to issue excise stamps and invoices in order to fall on every bottle and bottle. If goods without excise duty tickets are found to be kept for sale, then the goods will be confiscated and fined according to the law.
Similarly, liquor can be sold from 10 am to 10 pm.
