Kathmandu. According to the results of the House of Representatives elections so far, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has won a larger number of votes than other parties in the first-past-the-post (FPTP) category, while the proportional representation (PR) system has also been reduced by 3.5 lakh votes.
According to the Election Commission, the final results of 79 constituencies have been declared so far. Of them, the RSP alone has won in 63 constituencies. The candidates of the RSP are still leading in 58 constituencies.
Nepali Congress is the second largest winner with the highest number of victories. Nepali Congress candidates have won in nine constituencies while they are leading in 10 constituencies.
Similarly, the CPN-UML has won in 3 constituencies while the NCP has won in 2 constituencies. The CPN (UML) is leading in 8 constituencies while the CPN (Maoist Centre) is leading in 5 constituencies.
RPP and independent candidates are leading in 1 seat each while Labour and Culture Party are leading in three constituencies.
Similarly, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has deducted Rs 3.5 lakh in the proportional representation (PR) vote. According to the data released by the Election Commission, a total of 663,595 proportional representation votes have been counted in various constituencies of the country so far. The Rastriya Janata Party (RSP) alone has garnered 3,50,601 votes. That’s 52.83 percent.
The Nepali Congress (NC) is the second largest proportional representation vote. The Congress has secured 16.39 per cent or 108,792 votes.
Similarly, the CPN-UML has garnered 88,026 votes and the CPN (Maoist Centre) has garnered 20,147 votes. The UML has won 13.27 per cent of the total votes and the NCP has 6.17 per cent.
The rest of the votes were cast by other parties, including the RPP.
