Kathmandu. Pravin Raman Parajuli, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nepal Life Insurance, has made false claims with misleading data that the company has paid Rs 122 trillion to the insured in its 25-year history.
In a 1 minute 26 second long video message, he said, “Namaste Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited has fulfilled the commitment of the organization to its insurers by making a payout of Rs 122 trillion in the history of 25 years till date. He has clarified this further, out of which there are three ‘Maturity’, ‘Survival’ and ‘Death Claim’. If you look at the payout of ‘Death Claim’ only, then the payout of ‘Death Claim’ of Rs 9.34 billion has been made by the organization. Which is the previous fiscal year 2082. I would like to inform that in terms of 83, it is 99.13 percent in terms of policy number.
He further said in a video message made public through the company’s official social network Tiktok, therefore, institutionally, the organization publishes these indices every quarter in a structure prescribed by the Insurance Authority of Nepal. I believe that the trust in the organization will be further unshakable only by knowing whether the information given or said about the organization from any other informal unorganized sector is in line with the organization or the indices of the organization.
Parajuli, while issuing a video message on behalf of the company, defended the company’s disgruntled agents and launched a campaign to get the insurance policies to surrender their policies. (Watch the video)
