KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has introduced new banknotes of Rs 50 denomination in the market from September 18.
The central bank has issued a code No. T24-000001 to N70-9999999 in the same size and color as before. T24-000001 to N70-999999.
What are the features?
at the front of the note
1. In the middle section of the note, “If you come to ask for payment of the money guaranteed by the Government of Nepal, then you will get Rs. 50 immediately from the Nepal Rastra Bank.” The promissory phrase is mentioned.
2. On the left side of the note is the picture of Mount Everest and on the right side is the water stamp of Laligurans and below it is also a water stamp marked ’50’. On the lower part of the note, the series number ‘B.S. 2082’ is written.
3. The note was signed by Governor Prof. Dr. Bishwanath Poudel.
4. 1.2 mm on the note. The safety thread woven on the wide paper is completely visible when viewed in the light and the thread has ‘NRB’ written on it.

1. The picture of a snow leopard is written in the middle part of the note and ‘Nepal Rastra Bank’ is written in English above it.
2. At the bottom of the note, ‘Ruppy’s Fifty’ and the series number ‘2025 A.D.’ are written.
