Kathmandu. Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAMA) has successfully handed over the emergency assistance to the Department of Transport Management and Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, which were severely affected during the Gen-G agitation on September 7 and 24.
President of Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association Ritu Singh Vaidya, Board Member Yamuna Shrestha and Executive Director Raj Kumar Dulal handed over the contract to the company on Tuesday.
On the occasion, Director General of Department of Transport Management, Rajib Pokharel said that the support received by Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association was very important and due to such support the Department is able to operate the service from its own office.
Similarly, Chief of Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office and Senior Superintendent of Police Nawaraj Adhikari appreciated the institutional support provided by Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association and its members for providing the emergency support.
Stating that Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association has been able to establish long-term collaboration and partnership with the traffic office within a short span of its establishment, he described the organization as a reliable partner of traffic education and management.
Speaking on the occasion, President Vaidya said that working in collaboration with the agencies involved in public service delivery is the working concept of Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association and this cooperation will be further strengthened in the days to come.
Giving details of the assistance, Executive Director Dulal said that the Department of Transport Management has provided the reconstruction of all the windows and doors of the main building of Min Bhawan and furniture, furnishings, computers, printers and other materials have been provided to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office.
