Gajendra Moksha Sanskrit Parishad donates Rs 1.05 lakh to flood victims

Kathmandu. Gajendra Moksha Sanskrit Parishad in Trivenidham of Nawalparasi has provided financial assistance of Rs 105,555 for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River.

The amount has been deposited in the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund under the patronage of Eternal Award-winning Kamalnayanacharya (Muktinath Baba).

This initiative of the Council has given the message that religious and spiritual organizations should play an active role in disaster management, humanitarian service and social responsibility along with worship rituals.

The Council extended the financial support in solidarity with the government’s campaign of rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by the disaster, said Swami Basudev Prapannacharya.

“It is the duty of all the countrymen to help the state in the immediate rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the citizens affected by this natural calamity. A statement issued by the council’s chairman Sudarshan Prapannacharya said.

In this difficult situation of national crisis, the Council has urged all to rise above criticism and criticism of the government and fulfill our social responsibility to protect human sentiments through national unity, coordination and cooperation.

The Council has presented this support with the theme of ‘Service is Religion’ as its commitment towards humanitarian service and social responsibility.
