Kathmandu. The leaders of Citizen Life Insurance Company Limited have donated relief materials to the people of Nuwakot affected by the floods. In the first phase, food, clothes and other essential items collected from the leaders and associates of the company were handed over to Bidur Municipality on August 13. After that, relief materials were also sent to the temporary settlements established in Betrawati (Swara) area directly affected by the floods on September 1.
The overall coordination of the relief operation was done by Bishnu Prasad Sapkota, Regional Chief of Balaju Area. Apart from Saroj Lo, Star Agency Manager of Citizen Life Geeta Rayamajhi, Senior Agency Manager Suresh Babu Jamarkattel, Senior Agency Manager Niru Adhikari, Agency Manager Sushil Kumar Basnet, Durga Dhakal Khadka, Jaya Shrestha, Uma Deuja, Uma Thapa and more than 80 leaders from different branches actively participated in the campaign.
Relief materials were transported to various holding centers in Nuwakot regardless of the dangerous roads and difficult geographical conditions. Leaders Hari Adhikari, Uma Deuja, Bir Bahadur Tamang, Bishnu Gurung and Dil Kumar Koju helped in the relief distribution.
The campaign was coordinated and managed by Swayambhu branch chief Kalpana Karki Bhandari, Jarangkhu branch chief Bipul Pandey, Maharajgunj branch chief Deepak Pokharel, Tokha branch chief Raj Kumar Neupane, Balaju branch chief Manisha Tamang and Nuwakot branch chief Kabita Shrestha.
The campaign, which was aimed at providing immediate support to the affected people during a disaster, highlights the CSR, collaboration and humanitarian commitment of the leaders of Citizen Life.
