Kathmandu. Baikuntha Aryal has been appointed as the chairman of Himalayan Bank.
A meeting of the board of directors of the bank held on Sunday appointed Aryal as the chairman. His appointment is effective from August 14.
Aryal has been representing the board of directors of the bank from National Life Insurance Company. Aryal is also the former Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal.
The meeting also approved the resignation of Prachanda Bahadur Shrestha.
