MPIA donates Rs 31 lakh to Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund for flood victims

Kathmandu. The Mobile Phone Importers Association (MPIA) has collected Rs. 31 lakhs from its member organizations with the objective of supporting the relief and rescue work of the people affected by the devastating floods and landslides in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa on September 26. It has provided financial assistance of Rs. 31 lakhs.

The amount has been transferred to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund. The Mobile Phone Importers Association (MPIA) has expressed confidence that the collected amount will be used for the relief, rescue and rehabilitation of the citizens affected by floods and landslides.

The collected amount was handed over to the Finance Minister by Mobile Phone Importers Association (MPIA) President Deepak Kumar Malhotra, Vice President Sanjay Agarwal and members of the Board of Directors.

Deepak Kumar Malhotra, President of Mobile Phone Importers Association (MPIA), said that it is the common responsibility of all to stand with the affected citizens in this difficult time of disaster and thanked the member organizations for their support and goodwill.
