Kathmandu. The government has approved the visit of a Nepali delegation to attend the United Nations General Assembly under the leadership of Prime Minister Balendra Shah.
The meeting of the Council of Ministers today approved the visit of the Nepali delegation led by Prime Minister Shah to attend the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations from September 23 to 23. The meeting also decided to form a Nepali dialogue team to participate in the meeting of the Nepal-India Inter-Governmental Sub-Committee (IGSC) to be held in New Delhi, India.
Similarly, the meeting has given in-principle approval to formulate a bill related to the control of improper transactions i.e. meter interest crime on the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The meeting also approved the list of 17,438 poor households of 27 local levels of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Saptari and Dang districts. The meeting also decided to appoint Dr Hari Prasad Lamsal as the chairperson of the Teachers’ Service Commission, Ram Sharan Sapkota as a member and Bishnu Ghimire (Rimal) as a woman member.
The meeting also promoted two joint secretaries to the post of special class (secretary) on the administrative side and posted them as the chief secretary of the province. The cabinet also decided to promote joint secretary Binod Bahadur Kunwar to the post of secretary and to the post of chief secretary of Lumbini Province and another joint secretary Uttar Kumar Khatri to the post of secretary.
