Jeevan Bikas Microfinance provides Rs 2.5 million to flood victims

Kathmandu. Jeevan Bikas Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited has provided Rs 25.05 lakh for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by the devastating floods in Bhotekoshi. Jeevan Bikas, which has been providing financial services to the citizens in 31 districts of Koshi Province, Madhesh Province and Bagmati Province, has deposited the amount in the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund on Wednesday.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of the organization, Sanjay Kumar Mandal, the employees have contributed Rs 2.5 million as a day’s salary and corporate social responsibility.

The organization has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and property due to the severe floods on August 10. Expressing heartfelt tribute to those who lost their lives due to the floods, the organization has also expressed condolences to the bereaved family members for the strength to be patient.

Jeevan Bikas Laghubitta, which has its central office in Katahari of Morang, has been providing financial services to the rural people in 31 districts of Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces.
