Kathmandu. The Electricity Regulatory Commission has contributed Rs 1 crore to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund.
NHRC Chairman Dr Ram Prasad Dhital today handed over a cheque of Rs 10 million to the relief fund through Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Biraj Bhakta Shrestha. The cheque handover ceremony took place at the Ministry of Energy.
The amount has been provided for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa recently. The devastating floods have caused huge loss of life and property in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading.
