KATHMANDU: Nepal Cricket Team Captain Sandeep Lamichhane has announced that he will donate one month’s salary to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund.
Through his Facebook post, Captain Lamichhane has announced that he will donate one month’s salary from the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) to the rescue fund. Currently, the Lamichhane-led team is in Malaysia to play the ACC Premier Cup.
Expressing deep sympathy for the flood-affected people in this difficult situation, Lamichhane said that Nepal’s performance throughout the tournament will be dedicated to the affected Nepalis. He also promised to provide educational materials for the flood-affected children for every wicket, fours and sixes that Nepal takes throughout the ACC Premier Cup.
Nepal will play against Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Hong Kong in the group stage.
