Kathmandu. Nepal Police has urged people to remain alert as there is a possible risk of flooding in the Bhotekoshi River again.
Issuing a notice today, the police said that the lake was formed due to the blockage of the flow of the Lhende river in the coastal area about 18 km upstream of Rasuwagadhi checkpoint. “There is still a risk of major floods due to the bursting of the natural dam of the lake,” the notice said.
Police have urged all those living in the downstream areas to adopt necessary precaution and take high precautions.
