KATHMANDU: IME Life Insurance Company Limited has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident of loss of life and material on the banks of the rivers including Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Chitwan due to the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River of Rasuwa on August 23.
The company has expressed its heartfelt sympathy to the affected citizens in this difficult situation where hundreds of people have lost their lives, many have gone missing, hundreds of families have been displaced due to the destruction of settlements and infrastructures due to heavy floods and inundation.
IME Life Insurance Company Limited has announced to provide Rs. 1 crore to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility. In solidarity with the efforts being made by the Government of Nepal, security agencies and local organizations for immediate rescue, relief and long-term rehabilitation of the flood-affected people. IME Life Insurance Company Limited has announced to provide financial assistance of Rs. 1 crore (Rs. 1 crore) to the ‘Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund’ as part of its corporate social responsibility.
Since its inception, the company has been handing over assistance from the front line during various crises, natural disasters and epidemics in the country. In the current difficult situation, the financial support provided by the company is expected to further help in the search, rescue, food, health treatment and rehabilitation of the flood-affected people.
