Kathmandu. The stock market fell on Tuesday. The NEPSE index decreased by 5.30 points to close at 2,594.27.
Two sub-groups of NEPSE sub-group increased while 11 sub-groups decreased. The non-life insurance group saw the biggest fall of 0.36 per cent while the finance group saw the biggest fall of 0.91 per cent.
Shares of 78 companies rose and 187 declined. Shares of 12 companies remained stable on the day.
The market was traded worth more than Rs 4.10 billion today. Makar Jitumaya Suri Hydropower has been the most traded hydropower company.
