Kathmandu. Deposits in the banking system have increased by Rs 25 billion in a single day. According to the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), deposits stood at Rs 8.201 trillion as of Monday, up from Rs 8.176 trillion on Sunday.
Similarly, credit disbursement stood at Rs 5.93 trillion as of Sunday and reached Rs 5.936 trillion on Monday. The loan disbursement has increased by Rs 6 billion in a single day.
As of Monday, deposits of commercial banks have reached Rs 7.406 trillion, while loans from commercial banks have reached Rs 5.281 trillion.
The CD ratio has come down to 71.74 percent and the interbank interest rate is 2.75 percent. The CD ratio was 71.87 percent the previous day.
