Naima Mobility Expo to feature 51 stalls, more than 55 brands and more than 40 new launches

Kathmandu. Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) has released the main details related to NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 in a press conference held at The Soaltee Hotel in Kathmandu. The highlights of the second edition of NIMA Nepal Mobility Expo were made public on Monday in the presence of media personnel, sponsors & partners, exhibitors, NAIMA Board members, member companies and stakeholders of Nepal’s automobile and mobility sector.

It will be held at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu. The event will feature 51 stalls, more than 55 brands and 40 new launches. Products related to two-wheelers, four-wheelers, commercial vehicles, electric and hybrid mobility solutions, technology, services and mobility will be showcased during the expo.

Speaking at a press conference, Ritu Singh Vaidya, President of NAIMA, informed that NAIMA started with 21 member companies a year ago involving automobile importers and manufacturers of Nepal and has now expanded to 36 major member companies.TAG_OPEN_h3_29 According to him, this growth is a clear reflection of the trust the industry has placed in NIMA, the need for a unified platform and its growing role as the responsible voice of Nepal’s mobility sector.

President Vaidya said that the vision of NIMA is not limited to “Empowering Growth Through Mobility” and mission “Mobility for All” is not limited to the expo but is reflected in the overall line of NAIMA, which is related to mobility, access, employment, entrepreneurship, public service delivery and economic growth.

He further said that in the past year, NAIMA has continuously advocated for reforms in the mobility sector, successfully concluded the first edition of the expo, provided capacity building training for 1,610 traffic police personnel in the Kathmandu Valley, provided emergency support for reconstruction of the offices severely damaged during the recent protests, and provided support to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office and the Department of Transport Management.TAG_OPEN_h3_28 In addition, NAIMA has been collaborating with government agencies to conduct workshops on traffic management, road safety, public awareness programs and participation of national and international experts.

President Vaidya informed that NAIMA has institutionalized major events like NAIMA Mobility Expo and NAIMA Monthly Mobility Sambad and has started NAIMA Mobility Journal and NAIMA Capacity Building Training Sessions. She also said that at least 10 percent of the ticket revenue of the expo will be allocated for research fellowships and training initiatives, and the research and articles prepared through this fellowship will be published in the NAIMA Mobility Journal. In addition, NIIMA plans to organize NAIMA Mobility Conclave in the coming days and organize training programs focused on skill enhancement and job creation in the mobility sector, especially in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Government of Nepal.

Considering the high demand from members and industry stakeholders, NIMA is also considering organizing more mobility expos targeting commercial mobility brands and stakeholders. President Baidya expressed his sadness over the inability to provide stalls to some interested members and stakeholders due to lack of space and stressed the need for a bigger and modern exhibition infrastructure in Nepal.

Sandip Sharda, board member of NIMA, said that the private sector is an important pillar of the nation’s economy.

He was of the view that such expos would help expand business activities, create investment environment, create employment opportunities and enhance overall economic dynamism.

Gaurav Sharda, Coordinator of NAIMA Auto Show Planning Committee, said that the 2026 edition will be made more systematic, easy, inclusive and visitor-friendly by refining the premium experience of the previous year. He expressed his commitment that NIMA will leave no stone unturned to make this year’s expo an important and historic event in automobile and mobility sector of Nepal.

Committee coordinator Sharda said that special arrangements have been made for the expo keeping the monsoon in mind. He added that the exhibition space would be managed in a way that would be easy and appropriate for people with disabilities. Parking facility will be available at Nepal Police Club for the convenience of visitors. As a ride partner, Pathao will provide discounted rides to and from Bhrikutimandap during the expo while Union Pay will provide cashback on the purchase of tickets using UnionPay QR as a QR partner.

Another major attraction of this year’s expo will be the learning sessions in the auditorium hall of the Blue Pavilion of the Nepal Police Club. There is no fee to participate in these sessions. These sessions will be led by experts, professionals, academicians, industry leaders and influencers. The sessions will cover topics such as mobility, technology, road safety, consumer awareness, skills, employment and future of Nepal’s mobility sector.
