According to the South China Morning Post, Li Hanjun is the latest in the list of PLA generals who have been under extensive action against military officials in China over the past few months. Chinese President Xi Jinping has removed several defense industry officials, politicians and military officials in recent days. Chinese media have reported that this action is being taken to end corruption in China’s defense industry and military.

“The Naval Services Congress has decided to remove Lee Hanjun from the post of representative of the 14th National People’s Congress,” the NPC Standing Committee said in a statement on Friday. In addition, Liu Shipeng has been removed from the post of vice-president of the NPC. ’

In China, changes in the military are not usually given a reason. However, the removal of Li and Liu from npc membership indicates that they may face serious charges.

“A vote has been held to remove Miao Hua from the Central Military Commission (CMC),” the standing committee said. Miao Hua is a former top general who looked after the PLA’s ideological work. The CMC is China’s top military command, headed by President Xi Jinping. ’

In china in the last few months, not only military officials but also the defense minister has been coming under Xi’s purview. In China, democles swords have been hanging over the heads of defense ministers in recent months. – Agency
