Kathmandu. Mobile banking users in Nepal have crossed 27 million.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has released the data for the current fiscal year. According to the data, mobile banking users have reached 27 million 12 thousand 2 as of March. The number of mobile banking users stood at 24.648 million as of Mid-July last year. In the last nine months, 9.58 percent of mobile banking users have been added.
In the current fiscal year, mobile banking has made transactions worth Rs 440.45 billion. As of Last June, mobile banking had transacted rs 373.97 billion. This shows that digital transactions have increased significantly.
The number of wallet users has reached 26.37 million till Mid-April of the current fiscal year. As of Last June, the number was 23.46 million.
A payment of Rs 43.91 billion has been made till March using the wallet. A total of Rs 38.14 billion was paid through the wallet till Mid-June last year.
