The Nepal Insurance Authority has recently been distributing insurance agent licenses through online exams. If we look at the data of the last 1 year, about 52 thousand agents have been added to the insurance market of Nepal.
According to the annual report of 2080.81 released by the authority, 51 thousand 946 agents have been added to the insurance market in the last one year. In the review year, 329,572 agents were involved in the insurance business. In the previous year 2079.80, the number of agents was 277,626. The number of agents has increased by 18.71 percent in the last one year.
Similarly, 1,248 surveyors were involved in the insurance business in the financial year 2080.81. In the previous year 2079.80, the number of surveyors was 1,217. The number of surveyors has increased by 2.55 percent in 1 year.
In the financial year 2080.81, 11,769 people got direct employment in the insurance sector. Which is 2.37 percent more than in the previous year 2079.80. The number of people getting direct employment in the insurance sector in the previous year was 11,496.
