Kathmandu. At least 16 people have died in the flooding of the Bhotekoshi River via Rasuwagadhi Timure in Rasuwa district due to the bursting of glacial lakes following the earthquake in Tibet.
According to the latest data provided by the Bagmati Province Police Office, one person died in Rasuwa, 9 in Nuwakot and 6 in Dhading. Among the dead, 7 are women and 8 are men. One of the suspects has not been identified, the office said.
Similarly, 35 people have been injured in the floods so far, the office said. Among the injured, 13 were rescued from Rasuwa, 19 from Nuwakot and three from Dhading.
