Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA) has issued the current fiscal year 2082. The committee was informed about the directives, guidelines and working procedures issued by the committee.
The Finance Committee has called the Insurance Authority for discussion today. Chairperson Chandra Kala Poudel and Executive Director Sushil Dev Subedi have been appointed as part of the committee.
During the discussion, the Insurance Authority informed the Finance Committee that 5 directives and 1-1 guidelines and working procedures have been issued by the Insurance Authority in the current fiscal year.
Similarly, 4 directives have been amended.
The authority has issued directives related to agents, directives related to insurance surveyor, NFRS 17, weather based insurance policy guidelines and directives related to fixed assets of insurers in the current fiscal year.
Similarly, the authority has also issued targeted financial suspension guidelines and procedures related to the internal control of the authority.
In the review year, the authority has revised the directive on risk-based capital, the directive on investment of the insurer, the directive on reinsurance of the insurer and the directive on money laundering.
