Kathmandu. Samsung Nepal has awarded degrees to students who have successfully completed their course in coding and programming under Samsung Innovation Campus. As a part of its commitment to developing digital talent in Nepal, the company has also opened applications for a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) course.
In the Coding and Programming course, which ran from December 22, 2025 to June 30, 2026, students gained practical technical skills, project experience and industry experience. Graduates who completed the course were honored during a special ceremony.
Speaking at the convocation ceremony, Managing Director of Samsung Nepal, Chung Wook Jung said, “When I came to Nepal last December, I saw a lot of potential in the youth of Samsung. Today, I am proud to see that ability translated into a real achievement. At a time when artificial intelligence is redefining every industry, the development of digital talent has become even more important. Through Samsung Innovation Campus, we are preparing the youth to lead the digital future of Nepal by equipping them with the necessary skills, confidence and innovative thinking.” ’
The program is launched in Nepal from 2023 as part of Samsung’s global CSR vision “Empowering People Together for Tomorrow”. It has helped young people become proficient in emerging technologies and build skills needed for workplaces such as communication, collaboration, and critical thinking.
New AI programs and future plans
Samsung has launched a new AI course to address the changes brought by AI around the world and the growing demand for skilled workforce in this field. This course will be based on hands-on learning, which will teach the participants to use innovative technology to solve Nepal’s development needs. Apart from classroom learning, Samsung Nepal will continue to support students with mentorship, career guidance and projects through its staff and industry experts.
In addition, the company plans to establish the Samsung Innovation Campus Alumni Network, which will allow alumni to connect with each other and learn continuously. Samsung believes that building an AI ecosystem in Nepal and accelerating digital transformation will require strong collaborations between academia, industry, and government.
