KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Poudel and Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle, who is also the acting Prime Minister, paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister today.
President Paudel and Acting Prime Minister Wagle met at the President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas, on Wednesday morning. Current issues were discussed in the meeting.
Prime Minister Balendra Shah left for the United States on Tuesday to attend the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations. Earlier, on the recommendation of Prime Minister Shah, President Poudel had assigned the responsibility of the acting Prime Minister to Finance Minister Wagle.
Wagle has also been assigned the portfolio of Defense and Foreign Ministry on the recommendation of the Prime Minister.
