A major error in auditing

}

According to the report, the first warning was raised in December 2014. When the French national agency Ancy audited the museum’s IT systems. This audit included the museum’s security network. It is connected to alarms, video surveillance and access control.

The French government agency presented a 26-page report. It found that the museum’s weak passwords and outdated systems allowed experts to gain access to the network. It found that simply typing ‘yghgh’ gave access to the video surveillance server.

While typing ‘tzbivk’, another software developed by the Thales group was unlocked. The agency issued a warning that there are many flaws in the security network. Which can allow hackers to easily access internal systems and change interest access or video feeds.

The agency advised the museum to strengthen passwords and upgrade its systems. However, the Louvre Museum has never publicly disclosed how many changes it has implemented. Another audit in 2017 showed similar problems.
