Kathmandu. Buddha Air, one of the leading private carriers of Nepal, has introduced new technology and modernization of its new generation ATR 72-600 aircraft.
This modern ATR aircraft, which has been introduced for the first time in Nepal, has been provided with the 9N-AOS identification insignia.
The new aircraft is equipped with state-of-the-art avionics technology, RNP AR capability, advanced safety features, reduced fuel consumption and enhanced passenger comfort and comfort for passengers. This will contribute significantly to make Nepal’s domestic flight services more safe, reliable and effective.
While adopting modern technology, Buddha Air has also bid farewell to the old aircraft that have served for the longest time in its history by completing full flight capacity:
Earlier, on September 10, 2024, Buddha Air completed the full flight range (70,000 cycles) of its first ATR-42 aircraft, and for the first time in ATR history, decommissioned.
After completing its 72,000 flight cycles last March, the ATR 72-500 (9N-AJO) bid farewell to the ATR-72 aircraft.
Earlier, on September 10, 2024, Buddha Air completed the full flight range (70,000 flight cycles) of its first ATR-42 aircraft, and for the first time in ATR history, it retired after full revenue.
With the retiring of old ATR 42 and 72 aircraft and additions to the next generation of modern ATR aircraft, Buddha Air has an active fleet of more than 16 ATR aircraft.
