KATHMANDU: Nepal is going to host the 25th conference of the Association of Insurers and Reinsurances of Developing Countries (AIRDC).
The 24th AIRDC conference is being held in Harare, Zimbabwe. The conference will be held from September 27-30. The theme of the conference is ‘Strengthening the Insurance Sector for Developing Countries Amidst Geopolitical and Technological Turmoil’.
The AIRDC conference is held every two years. Nepal has been selected as the host country of the 2028 conference.
According to Chunky Chhetri, CEO of Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance Company, who participated in the conference, Nepal has been given the responsibility of organizing the 25th AIRDC Conference. “We are honored to present an official letter of appreciation to David Kudakwashe Mnangagwa, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investment Promotion of Zimbabwe,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
There are 28 member countries including Nepal.
