Kathmandu. The government has developed an ‘Automatic Surveyor Deputation System’ to automate the process of assigning surveyors for the assessment of damage of insurance claims.
The system has been developed with the aim of automating the process of assigning surveyors based on good governance. At present, the data of all surveyors has been entered into the system. This system will make the selection of surveyors transparent on the basis of the surveyor’s expertise, availability, geographical location, seniority, and portfolio.
The government believes that this system will automatically select surveyors based on the set criteria and will help identify and control situations where surveyors are given work time and again or other surveyors are not given adequate opportunities.
The government says that the system can also track the details of how much work the surveyor has received, what work has been completed and whether he is in a position to take a new job. This system will also reduce the time and cost in the insurance claim process.
