KATHMANDU: Birat Agri Limited, a company in the agriculture and aquaculture sector of Nepal, is going to issue primary shares (IPO) to the general public. The company has appointed NIC ASIA Capital Limited for all the institutional advisory and sales management of the IPO to be issued in the future, subject to the prevailing laws.
Under its ‘Idea to IPO’ service, NIC ASIA Capital will provide consultancy on converting Birat Agri from a private company to a public company.
Birat Agri, which has been engaged in commercial integrated agriculture and fisheries through 150 ponds in more than 100 hectares of reservoir area in Morang and Sunsari districts, has been producing fish feed through a modern fish feed plant with a capacity of 25 tons per day at Khanar Industrial Area in Itahari-13.
The company plans to mobilize the capital generated from the issuance of the public share to set up a fish processing and fillet plant to produce fillet and value-added species of fish by processing Pangas fish through modern technology and to construct a new pellet feed plant with a daily capacity of 10 tons per day.
