Kathmandu. CDSC, merchant bankers, credit rating and stock brokers will be able to contribute their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) amount to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.
The Securities Board of Nepal has issued a circular allowing these institutions to deposit the CSR amount in the rescue fund. According to the circular, the amount collected by these organizations for the rescue and relief of those affected by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River will be considered as CSR.
There was no such provision before.
