KATHMANDU — The Nepal Army and private sector helicopters will rescue people injured and at risk due to the flooded Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa district from Thursday morning.
A meeting of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) held on Wednesday evening decided to rescue the injured from the affected areas and initially treat them at the camps set up at Dhunche of Rasuwa and Bidur of Nuwakot at the Nepal Army barracks. Preparations are underway to rescue the seriously injured and bring them to Kathmandu. The rescue and treatment will be forwarded by prioritizing the classification of the injured according to their condition.
Meanwhile, relief materials required for the affected people have been dispatched to the Nepal Army barracks at Bidur via land route.
