Kathmandu. The Koshi Province Office, Biratnagar has organized various social responsibility programs on the historic occasion of nepal insurance authority completing its 56th anniversary and entering its 57th year. In this connection, the blood donation program organized in the presence of Sukdev Mandal, President of Morang Red Cross Society Chapter, concluded in a grand manner.
Employees of life, non-life, small insurance companies, insurance agents, surveyors and other stakeholders participated actively in the program. Binod Kumar Pokharel, chief of Nepal Insurance Authority, Biratnagar, informed that 81 pints of blood have been collected in the joint efforts of the insurance workers directly associated with the insurance sector. Usan said that today’s example proves that insurance workers are also dedicated to social service.
Stating that the shortage of blood has deepened in recent times, The Chief Guest of the program expressed concern over the challenge of the youth withdrawal due to foreign employment and the number of blood donors decreasing. He also thanked the organizers and all the participants and suggested that such blood donation programmes should be continued as they would provide relief in a reasonable manner.
On the occasion, The Nepal Insurance Authority(NEA) Koshi State Office has informed that a prabhat pheri will be organized from Tinpani of Biratnagar to Mahendrachowk at 8:00 am on June 15. The prabhat pheri is expected to play an important role in raising insurance awareness in the context of Insurance Day and 57th anniversary.
This initiative of Nepal Insurance Authority, which is contributing to the insurance sector and also bearing social responsibility, is commendable.
