Kathmandu. Japanese two-wheeler maker Honda recently launched its new electric scooter Honda Activa E. Now the company is preparing to bring its first electric motorcycle to the global market.

The company has also released a teaser of this new electric bike on social media. Some information has come out about the look and design of this bike covered with camouflage. However, Honda has not revealed the name of its first bike. However, the company will officially release it on September 2.

Its technical details are yet to be disclosed. However, this bike could possibly be based on the company’s EV Fun Concept model. The company showcased at the EICMA Motorcycle Show held in Milan, Italy last year.

The teaser released by Honda gives a glimpse of the TFT dashboard and LED DRLs of the motorcycle. Whose design is very similar to the EV Fun concept. Other design details revealed in the teaser include LED turn indicator, sharp design and short tail. Which indicates its sporty design.

On the mechanical side, the bike has a single-sided swingarm, up-side-down (USD) front fork and a monoshock suspension system at the rear. Apart from this, the bike also has a large rear disc brake and a 17-inch wheel equipped with Pirelli Rosso 3 tires.

A humming sound has also been revealed. Which can be the sound coming from an electric motor. If this electric motorcycle is a product version of the EV Fun Concept, then it will be given a fixed battery setup. As the brand has already revealed, it will be equivalent to a 500 cc motorcycle. So its performance will be almost the same.

If this is the case, it could include rider aid features and the technology needed to improve performance. Which includes ride mode, traction control and more.

At EICMA last year, Honda announced that the EV Fun concept incorporates technology from multiple motorcycles. Which improves smooth rotation and braking. The concept has a CCS2 fast charger. Which is similar to the charging standard used in cars. However, it is too early to say anything about the range of the bike. However, the company is expected to use a powerful battery pack in it. Which will give it a better driving range.
