Jumla to introduce electric vehicles for the first time

Kathmandu. Making history in Nepal’s electric vehicle journey, Sustainable has handed over nine DFSK Danfe electric vans in Jumla for the first time. This achievement reflects nepal’s sustainable commitment to connect electric vehicles from rural to urban areas.

DFSK Danfe electric vans will be operated on short distance public routes in Jumla, which will facilitate passengers to travel clean, peaceful and affordable. It is expected to significantly contribute to reducing dependence on fuel and reducing local air pollution.

To make the charging facility reliable and easy, Sustainable is installing an 80 kW fast charger in Jumla along with the vehicle. Additional charging stations are planned to be constructed at Jumla Bus Park, Nagma Bazar, and Gothijula area of Nagma-Gamgadhi road section.

Saurab Shrestha, CHIEF Executive Officer of Sustainable Group of Companies, said, “It is a matter of pride for us to provide electric vans in remote areas like Jumla. This achievement has proved the capability of electric vehicles and in the coming days, we will continue to expand the reach of electric vehicles across the country. “
