Kathmandu. Heat wave continues across the country, especially in the Terai region. People are facing a lot of problems due to heat.

In the summer season, it is difficult to drive a car or bike on the road due to the heat of the sun. Let’s say that when you step on something hot, the whole body becomes warm. Similarly, there are many dangers for cars or bikes and scooters on hot roads in hot heat.

Crest

If you drive a car or any other two-wheeler on a hot road, there is a fear of tire bursts. The engine can be very hot. Brakes can fail and there may be a big drop in mileage. Passengers and drivers inside the car can also face many problems, including fatigue and thirst.

In such a situation, it is advisable to be careful while driving on hot roads in extreme heat and keep checking the air pressure, coolant and engine oil levels of the tire.

Fear of tire burst

Tires are the biggest threat when driving on hot roads. The temperature of the tire increases a lot when contacted with a hot road. This causes the air inside the tire to spread and increase the air pressure. Excessive heat can soften the tire’s rubber. Due to trade separation, the risk of tire burst increases. We have also heard a lot of news that the tire of a car or bike suddenly bursts. Tires also break down quickly due to heat.

There is also a risk of vehicle brake failure in extreme heat. Constant braking makes the brake pads and discs or drums too hot. The heating of the road further accelerates this process.

Risk of engine being too hot

Driving on hot roads in summer is also harmful to the engine. The engine is already hot. After that, when the outside temperature and the heat of the road increase, the engine has to work hard to stay cool. There is more pressure on the cooling system. If the radiator, coolant and fan in the cooling system are not working properly or the level of coolant is low, the engine can be very hot. Due to excessive heat, the performance of the engine can also decrease. The car’s mileage also decreases in summer.

AC should be used more in the car to avoid heat. The AC compressor carries more weight on the engine. Which increases fuel consumption and decreases mileage. Keeping these things in mind, you should drive safely and comfortably in the summer.
