Nepal Reinsurance Company’s profit rises by 57.71%

Kathmandu. Nepal Reinsurance Company for the current fiscal year 2081. It has made public the revised financial statements for the second quarter (July-December) of 2018.

In the second quarter, the company has earned a profit of Rs 532.6 million. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 337.7 million in the year-ago period. The company’s profit increased by 57.71 percent in the review period compared to the previous year.

At the end of the review period, the company has a share capital of Rs 13.42 billion, rs 4.67 billion in special reserve, Rs 350.6 million in disaster fund, Rs 764.2 million in retained earnings and Rs 786.2 million in other equities. As of Mid-July last year, the company had Rs 4.40 billion in special reserves, Rs 324 million in disaster fund, Rs 529.9 million in retained earnings and Rs 782.2 million in other equities.

The company has earned a total insurance premium of Rs 4.37 billion till December of the current fiscal year. In the same period last year, the company had earned a total insurance premium of Rs 3.41 billion. The company’s total insurance premium has increased by 28.21 percent compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year.

The company has earned Rs 4.16 billion in net insurance premium till the review period. In the same period last year, the company had earned a net insurance premium of Rs 3.03 billion. Net insurance revenue has increased by 31.78 percent compared to the previous year.

The company’s annual earnings per share (EPS) increased to Rs 3.97. In the previous year, eps was negative by Rs 2.64. With a net worth of Rs 148.96 per share, the company has a PE ratio of 191.50 times.
