Kathmandu. JSW MG Motor India has launched its famous SUV MG Hector in the Indian market after updating it as per the new government rules.
The company has now launched this SUV in the market updated with the new E20 engine. Equipped with attractive looks and a powerful engine, the SUV starts at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). According to the new rules of the government, e20 fuel engines will be mandatorily available in petrol vehicles manufactured in India after April 1.
Mg Motor started production of E20 hectares from March 31 on the order of the Government of India. The company is also offering special benefits of up to Rs 4 lakh on hectares under its Midnight Carnival offer. It has a 3-year standard warranty and 2 years of roadside assistance, as well as an extended warranty of 2 years or 1 00,000 kilometers. The company claims that this offer is valuable for money. The Hector is available in two engine options. It comes with 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 2-litre diesel engines. The petrol engine produces 141 bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque. It comes in two transmission options which include 6-speed manual transmission and CVT automatic transmission.
On the other hand, 2-liter diesel is obtained from Stellantis and this engine produces 168 bhp of power and 350 Nm of torque. This engine is available only in a 6-speed manual transmission. This means customers will get only one transmission option with a diesel engine.

Mg Hector comes in 6 variants. These include Style, Shine Pro, Select Pro, Smart Pro, Sharp Pro and Savvy Pro. The company has introduced it in 5, 6 and 7 seater configurations. Apart from this, the SUV also has a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen system. Which is the largest in this segment and supports wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
It also offers a panoramic sunroof to improve the cabin experience. The list includes 8-color ambient lighting, front ventilated seats, a fully digital instrument cluster, and more.
The SUV gets a set of Level 2 ADAS features. These include adaptive cruise control, lane depature warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, intelligent headlamp control. Apart from this, the car will also get features like electronic stability control, six airbags, 360-degree camera, speed sensing door lock.
