Kathmandu. India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India has announced that it will update the price of its vehicles.
This is the third time the company has increased the price of its car this year. The company has announced to increase the price of many of its car models from April 8. From Maruti WagonR to Grand Vitara, the price of all models will be increased from Rs 2,500 to Rs 62,000.
According to the information received from the company, it was necessary to increase the price of the car due to the increase in production cost and operating cost of various models of Maruti Suzuki. Input costs and raw material prices have also been cited as the reason for this increase.
The company has informed the National Stock Exchange of India and BSE that although the company is continuously trying to reduce the impact of input cost and price on the customer, the price has been increased as it needs to transfer part of the increased cost to the market.
Maruti Suzuki has said that the price increase will depend on various models. The price of the company’s famous SUV Grand Vitara is going to increase by Rs 62,000. In addition, the price of the company’s cheapest van Maruti Echo will increase by about Rs 22,500. Maruti’s tall boy WagonR will be priced up to Rs 14,000.
The company has increased the price of compact SUV Fronx by Rs 2,500 and the Dzire Tour S by Rs 3,000. Apart from this, multi-purpose vehicles XL6 and Ertegra will be expensive by Rs 12,000.
