Kathmandu. Current fiscal year 2082. In the first 10 months of 2018, the business of micro non-life insurers has crossed Rs 1 billion.
According to the data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) today, four micro life insurance companies have collected Rs 1.10 billion in insurance premiums till mid-April of the current fiscal year. During this period, these companies have issued 4,18,990 insurance policies.
Protective Micro Insurance is among the top companies that brought in the highest business till April. The company has issued 1,20,685 policies and collected a total premium of Rs 31.11 crore.
Similarly, Nepal Micro Insurance Company Ltd is in the second position. The company has issued 1,01,316 policies and collected a total premium of Rs 27.35 crore till mid-April.
Star Micro Insurance has earned Rs 26.19 crore by selling 1,16,264 policies and Trust Micro Insurance has earned Rs 25.35 crore by issuing 80,725 policies.
