Kathmandu. In the first quarter of the current fiscal year, micro life insurers have brought in business of more than Rs 27 crore.
As per the statistics made public by the Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA), four micro life insurance companies have sold 91,631 policies and earned more than Rs 26.81 million in insurance premiums.
Nepal Micro Insurance is one of the micro life insurance companies that has brought the highest number of business. The company has issued 22,715 policies and collected Rs 70.3 million in total premiums.
The second is Protective Micro Insurance. The company has sold 25,424 policies and earned Rs 6.99 crore in total premium.
Similarly, Trust Micro Insurance has earned Rs 6.95 crore in insurance policy by issuing 19,251 policies and Star Micro Insurance has earned Rs 5.82 crore in insurance premiums.
